What paid AI tools are worth it for creative tech projects?

Long story short, I'm a third year college student who just switched my major from biophysics(premed) to Human Technology Interaction.You can spare the advice about spending all my time learning to code, I know it's important. But for creative technologist internships, including the one I have this summer, portfolio projects matter just as much, if not more, than raw coding ability and the major change is putting me far behind on the latter.My question is: which AI subscriptions are actually worth paying for if you're vibecoding projects like these?Right now I have the $100/month Sakana Fugu subscription (which I heavily regret because it gets burned in about three prompts), Claude Pro ($20/month), and Cursor Pro through the student plan. From what I can tell, Fable seems to be the leader for design, but I don't know if there are better options like Sol, Grok, or Kimi.Also, I work hard to try to make sure my end result isn't just AI slop. Right now I'm building my portfolio website and an interactive heart anatomy project.

Same here. I&rsquo;ve been using the Claude max plan for a few months now and haven&rsquo;t hit the quota yet with 10-12 hour sessions even using fable. I&rsquo;ve spun up workflow audits and stress tests on a production app im working on a few times where It will launch about 20 agents at about 120k tokens each and still haven&rsquo;t hit my weekly quota.ive come close a few times.

If you're going to be coding A LOT just go for Claude Max. I think it's $200 now (I got in back when it was $100) I never see limits and I use Claude Code pretty much constantly. On the other hand, I still use Opus 4.8 .. maybe Fable would hit the Max plan limit.. not sure. Max plan is sweet though
