Has anyone else found Google unusable lately?

Question

For the first time in twenty years, I find myself regularly using an alternate search engine in search of the 'simple and obvious' results I could once get from Google.I don't love that that search engine is Yandex, for various reasons; but I can no longer wrangle the results I need by any tricks or Google-Fu that still work, from Google, and Yandex keeps it simple.If I could date when Google results went from annoying to 'repellent', I would say maybe 6-8 weeks ago.

I stopped relying on Google Search a long time ago. Between the aggressive ads, 'pay-to-play' blog rankings, and the general SEO-spam, it&rsquo;s become nearly impossible to find simple, direct answers.

I've used Kagi for a couple of years now. I decided I didn't want to be the product anymore, and try to pay for the tools I really use.

i've stopped using google since forever now, i love how claude in terminal spoils me w websearch and stuff :P tbh if you come across some good SEs, i'm open to suggestion. tried dia for a bit but that's a bit of an underkill
