Why is USA evil now?

It's always been evil. This is just the first administration that stopped pretending. The U.S. has driven us towards climate disaster and growing inequality, and through it's power in international institutions, managed to build a system of exploitation that is global.

Please don't take this as a black and white evil v. good statement. I am also not excusing other super powers or middle powers, they have their fair share of evil.

USA is Russia 2.0

The character of a country is mostly defined by those who have power either nationally or locally. The value of democracy is that, if well implemented, those in power reflect proportionately the wishes of the whole nation. Sadly it rarely happens.

Generally speaking, the people that live here are not evil.

Generally speaking, the people that work in the U.S. Government are not evil.

Generally speaking, the people that work in large corporations are not evil.

Generally speaking, the U.S. Government and corporate machines are generally evil which means concentrated power.
