How common are fake job postings when searching for jobs online?

I'm researching problems people face when searching for jobs online.

Many people mention fake job postings, duplicated listings, or companies that never respond after applying.

I'm curious how common this actually is.

Have you encountered fake job postings during your job search?

If so, what were the signs that made you realize the job wasn't legitimate?

Did you notice any patterns (for example: certain job boards, suspicious requests, or companies that never replied)?

Very basic and repeating AI like replies. That are following a template and have nothing to do with what you ask back.

Ex:

Hiring: Asks for CV

Person: Before I share, I would like to know more information about the job, etc etc

Hiring: Thanks for sharing your CV, would you like to schedule a call here: link.link

Those type of jobs always seem fake to me, the ones that move fast and an actual human is talking to you, are real.

Some job listings are Ghost Jobs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_job

I've been trying to understand this better. Do people think requiring companies to verify their identity before posting jobs (for example verifying their domain or business registration) would help reduce fake or "ghost" job postings? Or would it not really change much?
