When will feature-length filmmaking be as accessible as using Photoshop?

Looking at the latest video models[1] and some recent work by content creators[2], it's hard to imagine we're far away from a fully AI generated feature length film if it isn't out there somewhere already.

How long do you think it'll take consumer-facing tools and workflows to advance to resemble where PhotoShop presently sits with respect to image manipulation? Weeks? Months? Decades?

The better question would be: Even if we did have such tools, what stories would be worth telling with them?

I don't doubt that we will eventually have something like this, in the same way we now have CGI with forensic fidelity. The problem will no longer be "How do we realize this?" but "What's worth realizing?" The new limit is no longer technology; it's our taste and our discernment, which are not being developed anywhere nearly as aggressively as our tech.
