Who Can Challenge Tailscale？

I absolutely love Tailscale and can’t imagine living without it today, but that’s what scares me. If they get acquired or just reach enshitification velocity we really need someone else to step up. I know wireguard is OSS and we have headscale. We’re in a good position for that someone to take over.
