1) there are some stories that just won’t hide - they’ll hide when clicking the link, but they’ll reappear when reloading the page (for example, I haven’t been able to hide any of these stories https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43023508 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43040521 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43024221). No matter how many times I try to hide them, they always reappear after reloading
2) if I hide too many stories on the front page, stories start repeating. Some stories will show up more than once, together, one after the other, usually right below a hidden story, right after hiding it. It’s as if the hidden story was replaced by a copy of the story right below
I only noticed 1) in the last 24-48hrs. But 2) has been around at least for a year or two
