What is the most hackable (not crackable) electric car?

As background, I'm a relatively deep IT/Dev/Ops geek, and I have a pretty extensive home automation infrastructure (through Home Assistant, MQTT, ESPHome, and some custom stuff).

I currently have a Tesla, and while I like the car, there are some annoyances. There's decent third-party support for telemetry and commanding using the Tesla Custom Integration on HACS, but it's never really been smooth, and it feels like you're working against Tesla, rather than with them. Also, Elon has gone insane, plus the car is getting older.

So what I'm looking for is another electric car, preferably using the NACS, which has good range (I can look this up) and is relatively hackable (this is harder to research). I'd like to be able to get geolocation, battery status, and environmentals as a bare minimum (I use these all the time on the Tesla app and in HA).

Do you have any advice on brands and models to check out (or avoid)? Thanks in advance!

Love to know the answer to this myself!

I'd especially like to know if the Ioniq 5 is hackable. As a start, it looks like Hyundai's Bluelink can be turned off: https://www.reddit.com/r/Hyundai/comments/1bkqb5h/how_to_dis...
