Any good examples of multimedia local history web sites?

I have an opportunity to work with students on creating a local history project using historical and new photos and both audio and video interviews.

I'm curious to learn what sorts of web sites have been created to showcase this type of material, focusing on a geographic area and revealing stories connected to different parts of it.
