Is transitioning to CS a bad career choice in today's AI-driven world?

I'm planning to start a master's in computer science this August, but with AI automating more tasks, I'm wondering about the long-term career prospects in CS. Will AI reduce traditional opportunities in software development, or does it open up new roles that make CS an even stronger choice? Would love to hear insights from those in the field!

Honestly I don’t think anyone knows what the future will look like. The changes are very big and real, and I wouldn’t take them lightly.

Still it’s unclear whether it means more CS jobs or fewer.

I suspect having a strong CS background will have benefits and open interesting paths either way.
