What happens to Switch 2 manufacturers after leaks are confirmed?

I wanted to know what happens to leakers and manufacturers that leak actual information, like with Switch 2 which ran rampant and were just confirmed with Nintendo's latest teaser.

Are manufacturers or leakers penalized or persecuted? Is that actually fomented by the hiring company to build hype and serve as free advertising? What happens behind the scenes?
