Why are "Ask HN" posts unscrollable/unviewable past 40-50 posts?

Ask and News links (presently p29 is the last page of results) are both generated with regard to rating ... and probably not practical to keep providing additional pages.

To view comments especially for older comments just work though Newest [1] and Asknew [2] pages.

I don't know but if you want more Ask HNs, the search will give you a ranch dressing hose of them, in reverse chronological order:
