Tracking small things in your home?

My kids keep losing things like the Apple fast charger in the house, or other small things.

What do you use to track small things in your home so they don't get lost?

I can only give some Grug brained tips, that I do...

1. Buy a lot of things, and hope that not all of them will be lost at the same time. Every time I make an amazon order (about once a month), I buy an SD card and some rechargeable AA/AAA batteries, always. I have like 10 nail clippers, 8 scientific calculators. I have around 3 pens for every sqft of my home, sprinkled around everywhere. But with more expensive things this scales badly, gotta admit.

2. You know those gigantic keychains on the toilet keys? I try to do the same, with some of my things. Also, nail/glue them to a fix place. My AppleTV remote (that crappy Siri one) is lives on a clipboard with double-sided tape - I got bored fishing it out from between the sofa pillows. My USB current/voltmeter is tied to my desktop PC with a piece of string...

I have a couple of airtags from a side project I was playing around with that didn't end up working out. I've used these with some cheap cases from Aliexpress to attach to my small and often lost stuff around the house.
