This year has been an emotional rollercoaster beyond anything I have experienced before. The details of which are far too personal for me to feel comfortable sharing publicly, but I have been thinking a lot about how I can be the person that I want to be.

I have spent a lot of time journaling in the last year. That has helped me clearly define my values, and helped me define what "the person that I want to be" even is.

On personal projects: myself and a few other people local to me have started up a computer lab at our local makerspace, which has been pretty rad. Looking forward to taking and teaching classes in there :)

I have maintained a vendor neutral weekly newsletter about customer identity and access management (CIAM) on my own time (https://ciamweekly.substack.com/) and started a side hustle helping consultants with their newsletters.

Also built out a sales training program on a technical product for my day job and am so so close on a long form document about a currently undocumented section of the product. (Hopefully will ship it in the next few weeks.)

Working on an easy-to-repair, easy-to-refill battery for e-bike! We've already managed to produce 1500 of those that are running on shared mobility e-bikes in France, and we're launching a Kickstarter in September for the general public!

It's also fireproof (aluminum casing which resists a battery fire and dissipates the heat efficiently) and connected!

The last one I built is an interactive map of all institutions that published at the International Conference on Machine Learning this year, https://arxiv-cat.eamag.me/
