How is the Carbon language going?

Two years ago, Google introduced Carbon, the "experimental successor to C++"[0].

Since then, I have read almost nothing about Carbon and how its progress/development is going. Does people have more/insider information about what is the current status of the language? Has it been affected by all the "stuff" that has happened since July 2022?

Thanks

I think it's safe to say at this point that it hasn't gained a lot of traction, at least outside of google.

If you are making a forward looking business decision, I'd probably avoid it.

OTOH people are actively working on it so if you are looking to get smarter or use for your own niche thing we're Carbon suits your purpose, I can think of less worthy projects to dive in to.
