When will AI just be a free feature in most apps?

I kind of see the value in AI integrations. But I don't necessarily see the value in paying $10 a month to use it with Notion, Miro etc. when the core product is free.When can we expect AI to just be free? Will AI ever become free, in the same sense that email is free?

a) it becomes [practically] free to run
b) advertising and/or subscriptions provide enough overhead to run the rest of it "for free" (see point (a))

AI is already free for a limited number of requests. In that sense free email style AI is already there.
