Links for Youngster's Browser Startpage

I am setting an OS for a very young teenager. The person probably wants to be a programmer. Mozilla Firefox allows me up to 4 row of 8 links on about:home start page. What links except of the Hacker News would you recommend?

Consider using something like Markdown New Tab. This will allow for more entries that can also be organized by topic, etc, using Markdown.

It can also be used for TODO lists, etc, which are all things a teenager can make ample use of.

For example, on mine, I have sections for Courses, Places (the pages I visit every day or so), Lisp (stuff dealing with Common Lisp specifically, that I access often), Text-to-Voice (something I'm researching), and a whole bunch of things that I need to occasionally reference that can be self-contained in html-style tables.

It's a whole lot better than losing things among a huge pile of mainly invisible bookmarks (although I use them, too), and it is easy to prune as time and interests go on.

Mozila Firefox lets you choose any URL you want as the home page. You could point that to some file:///path/to/local.html that has however much of whatever content you want.
