My most productive days were when I was young and I would work until early morning while drinking. I could get so much done.
But now I am older, I am more conscious of the damage to my health by having late nights and the benefits of a consistent sleep schedule.
The problem is I am just not reliably productive during the day. And now that I can't just work late into the night, I struggle to get anything done at all.
I will be so pumped to work, and then when I'm done with the gym/run, shower and breakfast, I sit down and just can't do anything. And because I have to stick to my set bedtime, this time is lost. When before I would just go until 4am without feeling tired.
To do the projects I want to do, I need like huge 8+ hours of flow. So all my plans and dreams start feeling unrealistic. There are glimpses of flow sessions now and then that make me feel like if I could maintain this day to day, I would have some hope. But it's just so rare.
Any ideas?
However I suspect given your symptoms you might benefit from taking quarter teaspoon of pure quality creatine every day. From my use of it from time to time, I suspect less is best, than the larger quantities some people use to bulk up since I've asked a few who do use it a lot, if they noticed this and that as way of cognitive improvements ... and they didn't have much to say on it.
