How does FB get any new users?

Recently I made a brand new FB account for a project and as soon as I created the account I was instantly suspended. I had to dispute, upload more info, then get suspended _again_, dispute, upload _more_ info and for now I seem to be not suspended. This was for a totally legitimate account creation with no malintent.

This was obviously a terrible experience that makes me wonder how FB is able to get new users at all? I always thought that while FB had horrible stories like this, the mass market product was generally fine and polished for end users. I went through this crapshow, but there is no way an average user would have.

Is there something I'm missing here? Did I just get really unlucky and most people actually have a decent onboarding experience?

Meta makes them up. And it blocks people from deleting their FB/Insta accounts to retain its "active user counts." The number of bots pretending to be "human" is absurd. IMO, the only reason Meta gets to remain in business is because it's a proxy for the government to do whatever they want around the world.
