Thoughts on Email Courses?

Recently took Monica Lent's Blogging for Devs 7 day email course. (https://bloggingfordevs.com/)

Thought the content was great but the delivery format (straight to email inbox) made it extremely effective.

It made me wonder, why aren't there more email courses out there?

It seems like many e-books and online courses would be far more engaging/effective/valuable as email courses.

I found a pretty good free Computer Vision (in python) email course by pyimagesearch.com (https://www.pyimagesearch.com/free-opencv-computer-vision-de...) It's just a compilation of tutorial articles from the blog (which is why it's free), but in a curated order to make some more sense.

I've created a few courses for career development/job seekers and the pushback I get from younger generations is they want video in 5 minute snippets. I was under the impression "one-lesson-a-day" of meaty content; roughly 30 minutes of reading for 1-2 weeks depending on the course, was the better value but...

I agree. It can’t be interactive but I guess it can be made interactive with a link to quizzes/tests etc.

Courses can also include a live chat session for interactive live with instructors and other students
