Does negotiating an offer early your career really matter?
Can anyone on HN share a story of how NOT negotiating seriously impacted them financially or professionally negatively?
Raises are nearly always percentage-based, and bonuses are often percentage-based as well so it might be enlightening to do the math of a person who starts at $45,000 vs $50,000, simulate a 3-5% raise every year, simulate a 5% bonus every 5 years, and a 10% raise every 4-6 years (ie a promotion)
