Inspired by the 90 day Fin program, are there others or DIY options?

With the recent HN post about trying Helsinki for 90 days (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25003999) I was wondering if there are any other programs like this.

Or even if not like this, is there a way to do it yourself and try out another country before fully committing to a move? I get that you can take a vacation to anywhere, but 90 days seems much more substantial. Not to mention this one happens during the school year which is big if you have kids.
