Does anyone know of any efforts using ML for Language Preservation?

On a conference call, and they are talking about possible uses of Machine Learning at Tribal Colleges. Language Preservation is a real problem, but I am wondering if anyone knows of any efforts using ML in Language Preservation for any language.
