What would make a next-gen search engine?

We've gotten very comfortable with Google or DDG, but we still don't have a tool where you can ask a complex question and have an instant, concise answer synthesized from multiple sources.

What unsolved problems would a next-gen search engine potentially address?

What if you could have a conversation with a search engine, asking follow-up questions within the context of the previous ones?

Love the idea of questions in context of results. Would love to see search within, filter, and resort result sets. Would love pro option to allow REGEX patterns as query tokens. Depending on results getting tabular data back would be awesome (think ranked queries such as top exports for where results would have a table of item and quantity, etc.). The latter is akin to Google’s knowledge graph boxes with structured facts. Finally transparency mechanism and a “don’t be evil” commitment to not censor results like Google clearly does. Stay neutral. Give excellent results.
