Markdown or Asciidoc as a universal text source format?
I've seen various stories here on HN with comments detailing day-to-day uses of markdown along with relevant tooling for conversion or transformation to different formats. Right now the #1 story on Pandoc is one such.
So Markdown definitely wins on popularity. But most comparisons to Asciidoc seem to declare it better on technical merits (especially the reliance on different Markdown "flavors").
Which do you use? Have you tried both?
