How do you deal with outages?


Every time I plan on using (and paying for) a service especially if it is SaaS, I always worry about the risk of the service going down.

We’ve seen services like GitLab, GitHub, GCP, Twitter, Instagram or even sites based around APIs going down, which makes me skeptical about them.

How do you guys plan for this situation?

Use as few services as possible. Wait it out like everyone else. Life will go on if we can’t get to Instagram or GitHub for a few hours.
